diaginal plank wall

Have I ever mentioned that when we purchased our home, the wall treatments/paint jobs were awful? When we first looked at the house, we had blinders on because it was our first home. Now that we've been in our house for 3.5 years I know what to look for in our next house, like, is the trim painted?, are the ceilings painted?, are the doors painted the same color?. These are things we didn't notice because they weren't that noticeable until we started painting the house. The doors all looked white, until we painted everything a true white and noticed that some doors were white, some were cream. What? Same with the trim. The previous owners bought the trim already primed and rather than not painting them before hanging them, they just nailed (or glued...) them up and left them. They also primed the ceiling and then never painted it.

The previous owners were lazy.

We've slowly, but surely, gone through almost every room in the house and painted a new color, trim and done things the RIGHT way.

Our latest project was the front living room.

for some reason or other,  I didn't take a picture of the entire room. Oh well, it is what it is. If you want more details, read this post from Vintage Revivals. She's the bombdotcom.
